COREESHI

I know little about the natural physiology of the Coreeshi, because, as a species, they are famed for their ability to graft themselves into bioengineered exoskeletons. Their organs and tissues are fitted into these "shells" permanently, as far as I can tell. Presumably, the exoskeletons are custom-designed for whichever task a given Coreeshi expects to undertake.

In the case of the Coreeshi bounty hunters we encountered, their shells served as full-body armor, complete with offensive weaponry, Reduction Beams, internal communications devices, and audio-enhancement technology. The bounty hunters controlled all this equipment via keypads set into their forearms.

I also noticed a trend toward magnetism in Coreeshi technology: Their restraint devices for both people and spacecraft depended upon magnetism, and even their attack vessel attached smoothly to Moya's hull.

The Peacekeepers are familiar with the Coreeshi. The bounty hunters who assaulted us planned to turn us over to Commandant Grayza for a generous reward. While their faceless exoskeletons helped shield their bodies, however, this armor also helped shield their leader's true identity ... and contributed directly to their downfall.
